The east end of the subway's Race Street station under Vine Street, looking east towards the Walnut Street stub and wye. The trackways at either side go towards blank walls that were going to be future expansions of the station with extra side platforms. The water main is in the southbound/eastbound tunnel except for the last few blocks east of Race Street where it switches to the northbound/westbound tunnel.
