Location of the Miami & Erie Canal Hamilton Basin at East Street, looking east. After the basin was abandoned in the 1870s, it was filled in and replaced with railroads. The track at the left is the fomer PRR Richmond Division. There were also tracks for the B&O/CH&D East Middletown Branch.
