Before the flyover ramp was built to Martin Street in the 1950s it was an at-grade intersection with the parkway. Today, the street on the right has been narrowed with planting beds since it's just a one-way onramp now. Note the mess of trolley poles at the left for the short private streetcar right-of-way that was built along with the parkway project in 1938.
